The Rev. Dr. Thomas Bohache became the Pastor of MCC CTL in January, 2009.  Born and raised in California, he began attending Metropolitan Community Church in 1981, when he was twenty-five years old.  Credentialed as clergy in 1988, Dr. Bohache has served congregations in California, Virgina, Delaware, and New Jersey.  He has Bachelor's degrees in Classical Languages and Theology, Master's degrees in Religion from the University of Virginia and Georgetown University, and a Doctorate in feminist liberation theologies from the Episcopal Divinity School.  He is a published biblical scholar/theologian, having contributed to and co-edited The Queer Bible Commentary (SCM Press, 2006), and authored essays in the Journal of Theology and Sexuality (2003) and Take Back the Word: A Queer Reading of the Bible (Pilgrim Press, 2000), as well as his own full-length book entitled Christology from the Margins (SCM Press, 2009).  He has been in relationship for nine years with Tom Laughingwolf Simmons, who is one of MCC CTL's deacons and a seminary student.  The two Toms were legally married in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in November 2005.

It is Pastor Tom's vision that MCC CTL be a witness in Central New Jersey to the wholenss that comes when people are encouraged to integrate sexuality and spirituality.  He receives mail at tombohache10@gmail.com.
